A historic week by all accounts, Barrack Obama President Elect of the United States, a momentous occasion, a black president. when I first saw 24 and they had a black presidential candidate I thought it was a nice touch but how long would it be before there was a black president? If someone would have said in 5 years time I would have laughed in their face. Well done America, although I personally am more interested in socialist credentials. I won't hold my breath to long though to see the winds of change across the pond, like Bill Hicks said there's just one guy holding two puppets.
More exciting stuff happening in Europe I heard this morning as Rick Astley has been voted best act ever at the European MTV awards. I think anyone with a computer has been Rickrolled at one point so it's nice to see MTV can get done too. He wasn't there to collect his award, I would have insisted on a performance!
I have just started watching True Blood, HBO's new series about vampires. It's good, great promise, original ideas and apparently lots of dirty sex.
