Bomb store

Some photos of a building I'm obsessed with. It used to be a bomb store apparently.

Ghostly toilet

Hipstamatic and creepy buildings are a good match.

Snowblind

The country is in chaos as the white stuff has brought us to a stand still. To be fair though I have never seen snow this deep before. The cars are stranded but no snow days for me as the trains are still running. This is what its like outside my house today.

Hadfield is pretty much at a standstill.

Although I did have time on the way home to admire this snow sculpture in Glossop town centre. A wonderfully sculpted cock and balls I'm sure you agree. The attention to detail even includes a throbbing vein.

Underwater Love

Banksy has spoken about his disappointment at yet another great first step in the right direction in Copenhagen this month.

Call on me

billboard

From a link at A laptop for every donkey you can customise this piece of British history. Anti terror billboard, I spotted one of these up near work on the way out the other day but didn't have time to picture it as I was late for the train(as usual), I just read it with disbelief.

Two of my neighbours wash their cars on Sunday, even though they don't go out in them during the week. Should I ring the confidential anti-terrorist hotline?

Muscle Museum

Took the opportunity today to take a day and a half's holiday and extend the easter weekend to almost a week. Gotta love these God bothering long breaks. We went the the Manchester Museum for our semi regular family trip to see the mummies and the T rex. I always enjoy it, the museum is such a peaceful and enthralling place.  My favourite exhibit, hands down, is the T rex skeleton - Stan. I know its only a cast of the original but it brings out real feelings of awe as you stand underneath it. I could see a similar expression on D's face as he stared up at the scary jaws. If you've never been or always put off a visit you should go.

Don't let Stan put you off...

Waiting for the bus

The atheist bus campaign has been going a while now. I rather liked it, some disagreed with the agnostic 'probably' is no God but I didn't think it mattered too much. More fun however is the bus ad slogan generator that some kind clever soul has done.

Heres one I made up especially for Shelley:

Just Like Christmas

Snow has brought the country to a stand still...again. Its hit the South worst from teh news with us northerners getting tonight. The schools are closed, if only it was that easy with work.

The trains were running ok thoough. Just glad I don't have to drive into work anymore

The cenotaph outside the train station. Its wierd how a war memorial is now more well known for being on the beginning credits on the League of Gentlemen.
