Flaming lips - Embryonic was released late last year and was as far removed from the critically acclaimed albums of soft bulletin and Yoshimi battles the pink robots as they were from the early lips albums. The guardian ran an article asking if the lips had released a career killing album? It is hard work sometimes and I'll admit that it's not background music but when you are in the right frame of mind and open to the different sounds it is a glorious thing. Long live the lips.
