Busted bicycle

DSC01065

I've finally had the hybrid back for a week now and have been riding it in to work. It's a lot easier than riding up the hill on the MTB but I am forever fucking about with it. My old mountain bike I pulled out from behind the shed hosed it down and sprayed everything with food safe penetrating oil(I work in food factories, all my oils and greases are edible!) and away it went. I've racked up the miles with only a single bent spring on the v brakes. The Pioneer however is chalking up a list of faults, defects and annoying niggles. The day I got it home the front wheel was so buckled it wouldn't ride, 14 mile round trip and the wheel is exchanged, the gears just won't stay set up and the chain comes off occasionally. Unfortunately the design of the chain guard means you have to swear at it for ten minutes or so to get it on. The back wheel exploded in the sun thanks to a faulty tyre and the wheel again was buckled, two weeks back at the shop and I'd kind of given up on it. Hopefully it will bed in and stop being such a twat. On the bright side I have got my journey in to work down to 21 minutes from 40. I am getting fitter and less fat.
